The Flute Academy Scholarships

Eligibility

We offer a limited number of places for a full year in The Flute Academy at no cost, to flutists in certain countries and who are facing economic hardship.

What if I already have a sponsor lined up?

If you have a friend or family member already planning to sponsor you, regardless of your country, please mention them in your application so that we know to assign them to you.

Application requirements

To join the academy as a scholarship student, it is important that you already have a flute, and can play to a reasonable level. This means, you can already play at least a few melodies and scales and know most of the notes.

More advanced players will also obtain a huge benefit from the academy. The Flute Academy is not for total beginner flute players. 

However, scholarships are not awarded for high skill-level. A successful application is based on need, commitment, and a strong desire to learn.

The application process involves you recording a short video of yourself playing a piece, and speaking about why you'd like to win a scholarship. The video can be up to 3 minutes long.

When do applications close?

Applications are always open. After you apply, we will be in contact with you when we next award a round of scholarships, which occurs a few times a year.
